Marriage Photos
Here are some photos from our wedding day in the Kabul Family Court room. We had to sign a book, fingerprint it and put our photos in it. The top photo is us standing before the judge, with Amir Shah as one of our witnesses on the left, and Rahim Faiez on the right (both are AP writers in the Kabul bureau and our good friends here).

Love you both so much. I cried when I saw the pitures. Congratulations and best wishes for a very happy life and many years of travel and companionship. We look forward to a very BIG celebration when you come home.
WOW! Congrats to you both... and I don't know if I could have ever imagined you getting hitched any other way -- so very Katie-and-Jason. :) Much love to you both!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am so excited for the two of you!! You know, that is the most original wedding I've ever known anyone to have. What beautiful pictures of you both! You both look so happy together and are the perfect compliment of one another. I am hoping there'll be one hell of a party next time you are in the states! Oh...and one more thing...are you going to give us a heads up when you start expanding the family??? I can't wait for the little Straziuso bambinos (of course sporting Marmot and North Face with a cool pair of shades).
Love to you both! Sunshine
Congratulations, this experience of a marriage in Kabul seems so exotic and romantic................. being in this country (that most of us know little about)getting married to this handsome reporter (that Jack and I don't know much about) and having this ceremony (that we know nothing about). Yet we feel so happy because you are happy and of course send our very best wishes to you both. Love, Jack and Glenda
Congratulations Katie and Jason! Leave it to Katie to be the adventourous spirit...we would never expect anything less! I hope to see you when you make it back to Shevegas, and meet Jason, the newest addition to your family! Have fun and be safe. Your forever friend - Jamie Longmiller (Engler)
P.S. I just came across the pictures of us when we went skiing in Colorado our Jr. year. Wow! Look how far we've come!
